Philipians 3:7-14

Life in Christ: the prize.

For those who know me, I am skeptical with having a life verse/verses from the bible. I honestly have no life verse at the moment because each of my moments with God has occurs in different situations and varies in circumstances.
But I have encoutered a verse that has resembled me and has gotten me striving to serve God seven times a day, because God's regualations are just, just (Psalms 119:164). This verse enlightened and penetrated through my soul and I hope you find yourself in the actions of the Word of God just as I have.

Philipians 3:7-14

"I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.  Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ  and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.  I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,  so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.  No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
This is what I am striving to do. )

I remember reading this passage last year, and God brought me to it again. O how beautiful our Lord is! He will keep saving us, and keep reminding us about the tasks he has brought upon us/ called us to, and I will keep seeking the prize!

Thank You O Beautiful One. Jesus Christ, I ask you to dwell in my heart, my soul and in my life.  I ask you Holy Spirit to consume me and to fill the thrists we quench. I thank you Father God for your Son and your regulations and beautiful restrictions. I thank you for your everlasting mercy in me. I thank you for your discipline and love and kindness for us all. Thank you. I praise you, my God, the God Almighty. Praises belongs to you! Amen.
